His next project was setting up and matching twenty-four Panasonic HD camera in Las Vegas for Jeff's ESPN production of The World Series of Poker. Shortly after this project, the word got out that Roger would actually, when needed, leave the shop for location work. He then was asked by Jan Malizeski of DGA Productions to help him out with a new PBS series, Cooks Country, an Americas Test Kitchen production, on location in Rupert, Vermont. He gave it a try, and enjoyed so much that he is now a regular crew member and has worked on four season series so far, as well as the Poker Series.

In February of 2007 Roger was asked by Jeff Christian, of Reel Shorts Productions, to help out with a Tyler Florence Food Network shoot in New York City. This began an interesting experiment. Could on-site consulting become a part of Macie Video's future? With prior decades of remote video and EIC experience, the only difference was really pixel count from SD to HD anyway.
Another area of our on-site expansion is training of camera set-ups and matching. Roger had trained a crew from the US Navy, and a New England TV station, who came here to our shop for training. After several more requests from other companies for on-site training, we have decided to add this service also. Roger recently conducted an on-site session after a request from Atlantic Television for training on set-up and matching all sorts of camcorders, NTSC, PAL, HD and SD. Based out of New York, they provide production support across fifty states and Canada. With a few days of training their crew was able to master their gear.
